Our Flight home couldnt have been anymore painful than this story I am about to tell. We arrived to the airport early at 6am. We prepared plenty of snacks for Logann to keep her happy and even downloaded one of her favorite shows to watch while flying (Yo Gabba Gabba, more on this later). As we prepared to board our flight we were informed that the crew was late and our flight would leave about 30 minutes late. It wasnt until I sat down and had everything boarded that I was able to look at our tickets to realize our layover was only 25 minutes. We had automatically missed our layover and our connecting flight. But what could I do now? I could only hope that when we landed there would be another flight.

"Luckily" when we landed there was another flight that day. In 5 hours!!! what the heck was I suppose to do, trapped in an airport with 3 ginormouse heavy bags, a toddler that enjoys running, and a dead cell phone. It really was the longest day ever. Thanks to Sandi I had lots of snacks, but Loganns drink was going to run out soon.

Chicago Ohare has this very small play place for kids. Thankfully I was able to keep Logann entertained here for a while. I procrastinated getting lunch because of all the baggage I was carrying with me on top of the knowledge that the airport resturaunts in addition to being tiny are overpriced.

Finally we went to chillis and got a sandwhich and more juice. After waiting to finally get some water and juice that we had ordered we were feeling a little better.

But soon Logann was done and her attention span had been lost, she was ready for a nap. As you can tell from this beautifully delish looking lunch it was only 10 minutes before she was ready to get out of there.

She began to dump everything on the floor. As if the quick layover wasnt torture enough the waitress almost never came back. I began to wonder if this was a free meal for all that I had been put through I mean I still had 2 and 1/2 hours left plus a 2 hour plane ride and only 1 diaper left.

She was seriously over being there. Finally we got some attention, paid our check. And got the heck out of there.

Can you tell she is teething too! Oh the fun! We walked around for a while, until I came accross a plug. A bright idea came to mind I could sit down, plug the laptop in, while she was strapped into the stroller she could watch Yo Gabba Gabba. I could finally have a short rest.

Ahhh it worked she fell asleep. Just in time to board the plane!
Yeah she was awake the entire flight trying to run up and down the aisle. It was the longest day ever!!!!!
ITs weird to want to be home so badly and at the same time not wanting to leave my big girl at college so far away.

UGH! That must be horrible. I got stuck at Chicago once FOREVER and it was HORRIBLE! I cried too! So I cant imagine with a baby/toddler. I would seriously write a note to the airline to complain and tell them how because your flight attendant was late, what a miserable trip you had! That sucks! Sorry!
